Shadow work has a reputation for being confrontational. The phrase itself can sound like an invitation to descend into darkness. That isn't what this course is about.
In Jungian depth psychology, the shadow isn't the enemy. It is the name for everything we have pushed out of conscious awareness: the impulses we have disowned, the qualities we have rejected, the parts of ourselves that didn't fit the story we tell about who we are. The work isn't to fight these parts. It is to see them. And in seeing them, to reclaim the energy they have been using up.
This course pairs Jung's framework for the shadow and psychological complexes with mindfulness practice and Buddhist philosophy. The result is a ten-day journey that is psychologically grounded, contemplatively rich, and practically useful.
You have done some therapy or journaling and sense there is still something underneath you haven't quite reached.
You meditate but notice that attention practice doesn't seem to touch certain recurring patterns.
You are drawn to Jungian ideas but want something experiential, not just theoretical.
You have been curious about shadow work but weren't sure where to start.
You don't need any prior meditation experience. You do need a willingness to be honest with yourself.
I built this course because I spent years working with both mindfulness and Jungian depth psychology and noticed that practitioners of each often didn't know what the other tradition had figured out. The shadow work I encountered in Jungian circles was often intellectually rich but practically unmoored. The mindfulness practice I knew was precise and grounded but tended to bracket the very questions depth psychology takes seriously. This course is my attempt to bring the two together in a form that is both rigorous and genuinely accessible.

"He brings you as close as possible to your shadow and complexes without therapy. Although, therapy is suggested. He has an astounding knowledge of Jungian concepts and ideology. Truly, a brilliant course."
